These terms and conditions apply to your use of the MaDube Books website and to all orders placed through it. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About us
This website is operated by MaDube Books (Pty) Ltd, an African educational media company registered in Botswana, PO Box 402547, Gaborone, Botswana.
2. Products and prices
- We sell digital and printed children's books and learning resources.
- Prices are shown in US dollars (US$) unless stated otherwise, and may change at any time without notice. Changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
- We try to describe and photograph our books accurately, but printed colours and cover finishes may vary slightly from what you see on screen.
3. Orders
- An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- We may decline or cancel an order, for example where a product is unavailable or a price was listed in error. If you have already paid for a cancelled order, we will refund you.
- You are responsible for making sure the contact and delivery details you give us are accurate.
4. Payment
- Digital orders are paid by card through a secure payment provider.
- Hard-copy orders can be paid on delivery (cash), by card, or by bank transfer or mobile money, as agreed with us when we confirm your order.
5. Digital books
- Digital books are delivered to the email address you provide at checkout.
- Digital books are for your personal, family or classroom use. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post or share the files.
- Because digital books cannot be returned, they are not refundable once delivered, except where the file is faulty. If a file is faulty, contact us and we will replace it or refund you.
6. Delivery of printed books
- We deliver in Botswana and Zimbabwe, and to other countries by arrangement.
- Delivery costs are not included in book prices. We confirm the delivery cost and expected timing with you by phone or WhatsApp before dispatch.
- Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances beyond our control.
7. Returns and refunds
- If a printed book arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you.
- Returned books must be unused and in their original condition.
- Refunds are made using the same method you used to pay, where possible.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this site and in our books, including text, stories, illustrations, characters (including MaDube the zebra and the MaDube animal cast), logos and designs, belongs to MaDube Books (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or use it commercially without our written permission. Schools and teachers may ask us about classroom licensing.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse this site, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose, including placing fraudulent orders or providing false information.
10. Liability
We provide this site with reasonable care but cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Botswana.
